Hello,
Just a quick update on where Linuxha.net currently stands and what will
be coming up in the next few weeks...
0.8.5 - bug fixes really, but also refinement of the dynamic
reconfiguration support of the cluster. This will be out in the next few
days.
0.8.6 - initial release where the "clbuildapp" routine can be run
whilst the application in question is already up and running in the
cluster! The aim is to remove the "clmodapp" utility (which doesn't yet
work for recent releases since the migration to DRBD) and have it
support addition and removal of file systems for the application whilst
the application is running. If things go well this will be 7-14 days
away.
0.8.7 - last bug fix release before 0.9.0. Last chance to really add
any significant features before the run up to 1.0.0. Hopefully released
before mid-April. Aim is also to include initial support for online
resizing of file systems in the cluster.
After that it will be bug fixes only and documentation leading to the
1.0.0 release.
I really do rely on emails either personally or to the mailing list for
bug reports - since apart from the "x.0.0" releases I do not do end-to-
end testing of the complete code-base ; I'd never get the releases out!
Hence if anyone has any problems, questions or general comments I would
be most grateful.
Regards,
Simon.
