Hello all,
I've now performed some testing on five different clusters to ensure
that linuxha.net is ready for a 1.0.0 release. Of course there will be
bugs (which I will endeavour to fix quickly when they are reported), but
overall it should function across most Linux distributions once the
setup is complete.

The testing has taken place on the following clusters:

The Redhat Linux Enterprise Server 4 Clone "Centos"
	Fedora Core 4
	Mandriva 10.2
	Slackware 10
	Suse 9.3

On the above platforms 'native' packages where used, thus testing out
the RPM packages on everything but the slackware environment which was
installed using a slackware package for 1.0.0 that will be made
available.

The documentation for 1.0.0 isn't quite finished but will be released
as is - with updates following on a regular basis until it is complete.

All other "guides" will also be going through the update process over
the next month or so.

This release has been delayed due to hardware issues - my old system
broke and the new one took a long time to get working. However that is
now behind me and the new and capable of running all the above clusters
at the same time (via Vmware) (just)!

I've also rewritten my code control system I use to make it easier to
manage releases after 1.0.0. Indeed I may shortly migrate to Monotone
for source code control, allowing others to contribute more easily.

What next? I'll fix any bugs for 1.0.x to ensure it remains the
"production" release. I'll then be starting a related project (so as not
to destabilise the current code base), covering monitoring and
management of multiple clusters.

Further down the line a 1.2.x line will probably start with some
significantly different features.

So 1.0.0 will appear this week - keep an eye on the website or
freshmeat!

Regards,
Simon.
